In ancient Japan, the brush was used to copy prayers. Over time, it became an important tool in the training of the Japanese mind. Shodo’s attraction as an art form lies in the use of a single brush, dipped in Indian ink, demonstrating technical skill, as well as one’s character and emotions, all in a matter of strokes.

Shodo is not simply writing, it is an excellent way to learn patience and mind and body control. It is suitable for all ages.
