Georgia Kendo Association (GKA) is the best place to learn and practice kendo in Atlanta! We have been serving metro Atlanta area for over 30 years. We offer something for everyone from a beginner to an experienced kendo practitioner with many qualified Senseis (instructors).
GKA is a member of the AUSKF and SEUSKF.
About Kendo
Kendo is the art of Japanese fencing. "Ken," or tsurugi, is from the character meaning sword. The character for "Do," or michi, includes the meaning "way" or "path, Hence, kendo translates into "the way of the sword," a path of life which is followed through the training of kendo.
The purpose of Kendo training is to mold human character through the discipline of Kendo training.
